Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor, op. 34: IV. Finale (by medpiano)

Well, I couldn’t find a good performance of the entire thing on YouTube, but I did find this phenomenal performance of the final movement. Wow.

I’m obsessed with this piece. If you use Spotify, I would recommend listening to the entire Quintet played by Quatuor Ébène (with Akiko Yamamoto). Here’s the Spotify link to the album it’s on:

This piece has single-handedly restored my desire to create music again. If you don’t have time to watch the entire 10 minutes of the YouTube video, I have 2 suggestions - either watch the beginning (slow, angsty dissonance and such) or skip to about 7:45 for the tour de force that is the final Presto section.

Or both. :)
